ReplyDeleteI like your lesson plan. The idea of layering abstract lines over images is great to me. Your teacher example is very informative. Additionally, your concept map makes everything really clear on the direction you are going. Another aspect I really enjoy is the self-assessment. That seems like it could have an important influence on the student's project.

You did a good job working through this lesson. The technology is incorporated really well with your overall ideas. I think that the students will be interested in this project.

I think it was nice how you started with the little girl at the very beginning. The beginning talking part was really weird but after that first part I think the video was really nice. And empowering yet depressing... all the bad parts of being a girl :(
i think that your abstract idea is very interesting and you did a good job incorporating the individual identity in this project. it would be interesting to see what some of the students works looks like.
ReplyDeleteYou really made an interesting digital assignment! What I found most creative were your methods for critique and assessment. By including the students in this process, it helps them become more self aware. It also teaches them how to analyze and communicate their thoughts about other's pieces. Overall this was well put together! :)
ReplyDeleteYou proceeded in an excellent job creating this unit. The computer is functionally accurate with your overarching thoughts. I believe that the children will be curious about the activity.

It reminds me of a song...You can dance if you want to, you can leave your world behind, cause if your friends don't dance and if they don't dance, then they are no friends of mine. That's how your lesson plan makes me feel, like a delicate safety dance.
I really like your lesson plan...I think that students will be interested in this project because of their personal connection to the architecture. Great use of an artist too! One critique I had is that it seems like you only have two workdays for the computer work, and I wonder if that is not enough.

DeleteThis is a well thought out and informed lesson plan. The emphasis placed on self assessment is brilliant and seems that it will help the student a great deal. I think it may be a bit too high concept for this level of student but with the appropriate instruction I can see some amazing art coming out of this.
